Jenny clears her desk and walks past Ralph. "Hippie, hippie," he mutters under his breath. Jenny hears him. Tears flush her eyes. His quarterback form follows her and opens the door. She steps into the hall and heads for the cafeteria line for lunch. He's so damn good looking. I wonder where he eats. Penny calls to her as she takes a tray, "I'm saving a place for you!" Jenny waves, eyes the pan of fried steak smothered in gravy. "I'll have the salad," she says. "Cut the dressing." Penny notices her meal. "Cutting back?" "No, I'm not hungry." |
