a 75 year old Cajun shrimper,
who retired in Houston Texas.
Lifelong poet and accordion player

in the Louisiana bayou during a hurricane.
MAGICAL SUNSETS
There's a magic in sunsets
Something recognizable, yet undefinable
That inspires the Muse,
Causes the most hurried to pause
And changes for a brief moment
How we see the world.
It's much more than the warm, iridescent colors
Which brush sky and sea and earth.
It's also that sunsets touch something
Deep inside each of us,
And speak to us,
All in rich, golden tones.
Reminding us there's magic
To be found every day.
