"THE PLACE OF WEEPING WATERS
(An Indian Prayer)

Een--wah--sah
Shoh--leem--weh
Ko--mahn--tew
Deek-- tah
Deek--toom
Deek--teh--loh--room
Deek--teh--loh--roos

Indian name for Her is Place of Weeping Waters
She weeps like woman
She weeps not like waters fall from sky
She weeps from within her Sacred Place
Her waters flow out like bubbling laughter
She is sacred bosom
She suckle all living brothers and sisters
She is our Mother
She is crying now but outer tears
Let her weep so none become dry feathers
blowing in white man's wind

Een--wah--sah
Sho--leem--weh
Shah--mone
Shah--mone--teh
