SPRING OF MY LIFE
In the spring of my life when everything was new
Like a flower coming into bloom
Petals each took their own path
Some treaded too deeply
Others softly had
Wet from those days darkened clouds
Brighter ones always flourished
Pushing darkness down
Seeds sprouted from the womb
And birth began
Growing saplings through years many rings life grants
Added riches and wearing tolls
Spring this life
Ages pass
Shadows trace along the scape
Venting life
Scars mark each petal's taste
Tempting early rise
Breaking ground each life anew
Grows warm with strength to stem
Headed for what comes
EVERY SPRING OF LIFE PLANTS
