Publisher Barbara Callahan Quin (aka Little Crow Walking Eagle) reports that winners in the 2011 White Buffalo Native American Poet Laureate Poetry Contest and the “Name the Chief” Challenge, whose works appear in Volume II of Gifts of the Great Spirit, have literally turned the anthology featuring the “Chieftain” portrait by Moe Paccione into a mini-best seller! After discovering the exquisite beauty of the cover art, coupled with the amazing poetry and stories in the most-unusual collection of Native Americana ever published, purchasers of one copy started placing reorders ranging from ten to fifteen copies each to give as gifts and/or share with friends, colleagues and students. One contributor plans to hold a special book signing, complete with light refreshments and a reading of her work, at which copies will be sold, although her contribution is only one poem of less than a page in length. This big-little book promises to become a classic in its field. For more information: Click Here | ![]() |
