NEVADA SENIOR POET LAUREATE
Jane Logan

I STAND IN AWE

of oceanís pull as tides go out,
how good rain smells vanquishing drought.
Iím speechless from Grand Canyonís view,
undone by roses holding dew,
amazed how spiderís web is styled,
treasure the kicks of unborn child.
I pass my days in wordless praise.
Emotions raw, I stand in awe.
