NEVADA SENIOR POET LAUREATE
Jane Logan

I STAND IN AWE

of ocean’s pull as tides go out,
how good rain smells vanquishing drought.
I’m speechless from Grand Canyon’s view,
undone by roses holding dew,
amazed how spider’s web is styled,
treasure the kicks of unborn child.
I pass my days in wordless praise.
Emotions raw, I stand in awe.
